For the first time in my 18 years of driving, I completely ran out of gas. I called a family member to help me out but in the meantime I was stuck on the side of a highway. It was only a 2 lane highway but it did have a speed limit of 80 km/h, and was busy enough that you wouldn’t want to be stuck on it. Not only was running out of gas inconvenient for the rest of my day, but it also put me in a pretty unsafe situation. My advice for others would be to listen to your vehicle, and don’t ignore common sense signs like I used to. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
